Coava Coffee has a beautiful coffee bar and a really unique way of making coffee. Those look like regular Chemex coffee brewers, but they use Able laser etched stainless filters instead of the usual paper filters. It produces a much different cup that you just have to experience. More oils, more fines and a complex taste that grows as you finish the cup.

The Chemex is my normal method these days when I'm making more than one cup. I still prefer a single cup pourover if I'm just aiming for the absolute best cup of coffee, but wish it was as fun and beautiful as the Chemex.

Coava Coffee Saturday

My sister Summer was in town with her kids this past week and today, before they flew home we dropped by Coava Coffee so she could pick up some beans to take home to Arizona.
I had to get a cup of pour over and Diana, as you can see in this image, made us each an amazing cup of coffee. If you've never seen or tasted this method of brewing, you ought to stop by and try a cup. This is my favorite method of brewing and I intend to pick up a Chemex and a Cone sometime this year.
