We spent the last few days in Coos Bay with my parents and some good family friends. Two of those mornings were spent out on the boat starting from the Charleston Harbor.
Fog
Slicing Right Through
Sometimes you haul a camera bag full of bodies, lenses, filters and tripods, but the iPhone brings the goods. We rounded a bend in the trail to this scene and less than a minute later the fog was gone. I didn't even have time to get another camera out.
Charleston Harbor
Enveloped
I had a couple mornings with no kids in the house and was able to visit Jonsrud lookout in Sandy both days. The first day, I saw the sky light up beautifully while I was driving. Clearly I hadn't gotten started early enough. The fog was moving in waves that day though. It was beautiful and looked alive.
Today I was there with a whole bunch of other photographers, but the cloud cover kept out the color and the fog was largely absent. I met a couple new folks and though it was a bust photographically, it was a great start to the day.
Thickening
Occasionally, I come across an older photo that hasn't been posted and give it the Lightroom Treatment. This was made right before new years 2010 with my iPhone 4.
