With the kids out of town with the grandparents, Emily and I have been out visiting a few different places for dinner after work. I'm a fan of Little Big Burger, but Emily is not.

Pip's
Pip's was just 2 doors down from lunch. It was more work to not go there really. No photos of the actual donuts, just the decor which is decidedly Portland.
The Doughnuts were Cinnamon and Sugar and didn't have time for a portrait.
Blueberries
Healthy Snacks.
Valentines Day Takeout
Emily was out of town all week, so when she came home just in time for Valentines day, staying in together with takeout and a couple rental movies was the way to go.
Keeping Lunch Dry
Today was a busy one, with crazy weather to match. I stopped at Fried Egg I'm in Love for lunch as I had a full card which entitled me to a free sandwich. I'm usually there about once a week. I was thankful that they recently put up a nice shelter as the rain was coming down pretty hard.
Fried Egg Love Lunch
I've worked in the Hawthorne neighborhood near 39th Ave for a year and a half or so, and in that time, I've discovered a few great places to grab lunch. Fried Egg I'm in Love is right there at the top for either a late breakfast or lunch.
I stopped in yesterday and though the big tent and side window were closed due to the strong East wind we've been enduring, Jace was keeping things going and hooked me up with my favorite , the Yolko Ono.
Jace owns the cart with Ryan and gave me some history about the cart, seasonality and what it's like to cook up fantastic egg-based, breakfast food in Portland.
Thanks man, fantasic food, as always!
