Mark Wyner

I'm so excited to share photos from this session with Mark Wyner who is a UX/UI Designer, Orator, and Writer based in Portland. Mark and I met when I photographed him speaking on Artificial Intelligence at the WebVisions conference here in Portland in May.

The coolest part about meeting up with Mark for this session was that we spent the first half of our time together over a fantastic cup of iced coffee at Barista talking about real life, our families and the crazy stuff happening in our country lately. He has some enlightening and challenging things to say, particularly this artice which he published the day before we met.

The photos were taken as we walked through the Pearl District looking for interesting spots and continuing our conversations.

To those considering Dan for a session. He is a great photographer, with a great approach. I met Dan when he was shooting a conference where I was giving a talk. His photos of my lecture were amazing, so I hired him for a private session.
He is really friendly and approachable, and he made me comfortable during our shoot. Because he took the time to get to know me in advance, he captured the essence of my character. I loved this approach, and it yielded a nice collection of images to choose from for my professional profiles.
If you need someone to help you tell your story through images, I highly recommend Dan for the task. He’s a solid choice.

Mercy and Remus

I met Mercy and her awesome dog Remus this week after having lunch with my good friend Shaun at Grand Central Bakery near his place on Fremont. While we were eating lunch, Mercy came in and let Remus hang out near the door. A dog this big attracts a lot of attention, and it was great to watch as he handled all the attention like a champ. He did turn away from a guy who was trying to take his picture, almost as if to say "Hey man, I don't even know you and you're trying to take my picture?"

We caught up with them a couple blocks away and learned that this big guy is just 1 year old!
