Adventure.

That’s what landscape photography is about for me. When I started hearing about this fancy new comet, I immediately started researching to see what creative ways there might be to frame it.

Where could I go that would be new, would be unique and would leave me an a few friends with indelible memories? After a lot of time in Google Earth, TPE, SkyGuide and the National Weather Service localized reports, I picked a spot, asked a group of photographer buddies and last night we headed out!

I’ll share more in the coming days, but as I’m going through these images this morning, only an hour after arriving home, this one feels powerful and representative of the evening.
