This is why I ride a bike to work.
My goal with photography has always been to try to capture the feel of the moment - to give you a sense of what it felt like to be there. This is what it felt like riding to work this morning.
Fancy design for a bike rack.
Beautiful Morning Commute. Like most images these days, this was shot with my 35mm, f/1.8 Prime lens wide open. I rarely take this one off.
This is a pretty typical scene outside of Clyde Common, and Stumptown under the Ace Hotel. The guy riding by in the image had a flat rear tire. I let him know as it is surprising how often I see people riding who don't realize they have one. 4 hours later, I ran into him fixing the flat in my building 5 blocks away. Small world.
Ahh, the joys of bike commuting.
