We live pretty close tothe playground, and it's right next to the off-leash dog park so there are a lot of stops here.
Kids
East Portland Pediatrics
Just before the holidays I had a chance to shoot a series of documentary-style images for East Portland Pediatrics which is located at the Adventist hospital in East Portland. We had a few actual patients and some children of the Staff (also patients of course!) come in and we generally had a great time! They also have a dedicated teen clinic as well. If you are looking for a pediatrician, I can't recommend them enough!
No More Doughnuts
2nd Child - another post related to food. Let's see if I can get something with my daughter that fits. Made a little trip to Pip's Orignal Doughnuts and Chai today and Gavin took care of business. He is (and so am I) especially fond of the ones topped with Bacon.
Waiting for the Pizza
My oldest, Caedon.
Girl and Doughnuts
Aisy and I had lunch with Shaun and then stopped by Pips before heading home. Not a bad way to spend a Friday.
Wahclella Falls
In late January the kids and I snuck out for a beautiful morning hike in one of our favorite spots in the Columbia River Gorge. Wahclella falls lies at the end of a fairly short loop that you can access from the same exit as the Boneville dam. The falls was in full-force, and fuller than I'd ever seen it.
Smile
I'll just go ahead and apologize right now for all the images containing Cherry Blossoms that are coming. They showed up a little early this year in our neighborhood.
Annual Snow Day
My kids lament the lack of snow here in Portland. This year, right as we were getting ready to return to school and work after 2 weeks off, we got a nice bit of snow. What a great way to break in these sleds we got to use on the hill in front of our new house.
Our neighbor Karen brought out this fantastic old sled and let us know that it's been years since she's seen kids sledding down the hill. We put it to good use for sure.
