In late January the kids and I snuck out for a beautiful morning hike in one of our favorite spots in the Columbia River Gorge. Wahclella falls lies at the end of a fairly short loop that you can access from the same exit as the Boneville dam. The falls was in full-force, and fuller than I'd ever seen it.
Sometimes you haul a camera bag full of bodies, lenses, filters and tripods, but the iPhone brings the goods. We rounded a bend in the trail to this scene and less than a minute later the fog was gone. I didn't even have time to get another camera out.
The replacement for the departed Subaru...
Though it's only been two years since I bought this car, it was the first time I've moved way from a Subaru since 2000. I'm now driving a Volkswagen.
The Rare, Elusive, Sunny, Portland fall morning.
I had just started a 4 mile run this morning and just had to stop, pull my phone out of its armband and take a shot of this beautiful scene.
